HHS Senior Conner Couch Receives Naval Academy Appointment . U.S. Representative Trent Kelly’s (R-MS) office has announced the appointment of Conner Couch to the U.S. Naval Academy.

Hernando's Fran Kelly was named the 7A Miss Basketball by the Mississippi High School Activities Association, Mississippi Association of Coaches, and CSpire. On April 2nd, 2025, Fran Kelly was recognized on the Senate floor for being named 2025 Gatorade Player of the Year.

Congratulations to Adam Wallace, Hernando High School senior wrestler, on signing with Central Baptist College, marking a significant milestone as HHS's first student-athlete to commit to wrestling at the collegiate level. Way to go, Adam!

HHS Archery: 2/27/2025. A huge congrats to Aiden Criddle for shooting a perfect score one round! Update: 3/3/2025 - Aiden Criddle made the All-County Team with a score of 275 at the Desoto County Archery Meet.

Congratulations to Emily Zamarron and Mrs. Hicks for being selected as the Rotary Student and Teacher of the Month. They will be honored later this term with a luncheon sponsored by the Rotary. With them is Will Brown, the Rotary Club representative and an alumni of HHS.
