Exam Schedule

1st Block - Wednesday, December 13th - Regular Schedule

2nd and 3rd Block - Thursday, December 14th - Regular Schedule

4th Block - Friday, December 15th - 7:35 - 9:36

Students do not have to check-out on Exam Days,

but must stay the entire block of the exam(s)

they are required to take.

Theme Analysis Paper  

This paper is due on Octber 11. There is to be a digital and paper copy submitted. The guidelines for the paper were distributed in class on 10/4. A copy of paper requirements are available in the assignments portion of my website.

9 Weeks TEST  

The 9 weeks test will  be the final test for the play A Doll's House. We completed the reading in class on 10/2 and watched the movie on 10/3.

"A Doll's House"   

On 9/26 we will begin reading "A Doll's House" in class. There will be a final test (9 weeks test) on the play.

There will be a formal paper written analyzing one of the themes of the play due Oct. 11

There will be no weekly journal prompt or 4 Word Wednesday quiz until the beginning of the new 9 weeks.

Progress Reports  

Progress Reports are being sent home for parent signature on 8/31.

If a student is failing, parents will be contacted via email or phone.

A signed progress report returned on 9/1 will result in a 100 daily grade.

Much Ado About Nothing- Shakespeare  

In class on 8/22, we began reading Much Ado About Nothing in class. We are using the No Fear Shakespeare version in order to enhance the reading experience and become accustom to Shakespeare's language. Students will have a guided reading packet for each of the 5 Acts of the play. They are to complete the packets and can receive +5 points if turned in on test day. These materials will help when students are assigned the character analysis paper at the end of the play.
