Duane Case

Principal Duane Case

I received a Bachelor's degree and two Master's degrees from Delta State University. My thirty years in education have all been in Desoto County Schools. For twelve years I served as a teacher and head baseball coach at HHS. I also served as an assistant football coach, class sponsor, and FCA sponsor. In 2006, I entered the Educational Leadership program at DSU and served as assistant principal at Horn Lake High School for two years. In 2009, I became the principal at Desoto Central Middle School. This will be my eighth year as principal of Hernando High School.

My wife Stephanie and I have been married for thirty-two years. She was a teacher for twentysix years and now is an educational consultant. Our son Keegan is a 2022 graduate of Hernando High School and attends DSU. We live in Hernando and attend Longview Baptist Church.

It is a great honor to be the principal at HHS. I am very proud of the accomplishments of HHS and look forward to maintaining the high standards of excellence for our students, staff, and administration. I look forward to a great school year and appreciate your support.

My name is Rebecca Hay, and I am in my 21st year with DeSoto County Schools. As a classroom teacher, I served Oak Grove Central Elementary, Southaven Middle School, and Lewisburg Middle School. This will be my 5th year as an administrator at Hernando High School.

I live in Hernando and am a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Germantown, TN. All four of my grown children are graduates of DeSoto County Schools, 3 of them from Hernando High. That makes it very special for me to be here at HHS serving our school community! I have 5 grandchildren: Wells, Mabel, Madeline, Josie, and Katharine and two more coming yet this year. I adore spending time with them! I also enjoy watching sports with my family and spending time outdoors. I am so looking forward to the upcoming 2024-25 and what this year holds for our students and staff! HHS is an amazing school with wonderful teachers and students!! Go Tigers!!

I am very excited to be a part of Hernando High School.  We have great students, great teachers, and great things happening.  This year will be my 2nd year as an assistant principal at HHS and 20th year working as an educator.  My wife teaches at Hernando Hills Elementary, and we have two amazing children. I am from Senatobia, MS originally and attended Delta State University after high school.  While at DSU, I received my Bachelor of Science in Education. I also hold a master's degree from the University of Mississippi and a specialist's degree from Arkansas State University (both in Educational Leadership).  I taught social science courses and coached baseball before entering administration.  I have worked at Independence HS, Senatobia HS, Horn Lake HS, and Southaven Middle before joining HHS.  My family and I attend Hernando Baptist and have lived in Hernando for over 10 years.  I enjoy seeing my kids in their various activities, playing golf, and working in the yard.  I look forward to another great year at HHS. Go Tigers!
