Mission Statement:

The HHS Counseling department provides a comprehensive, developmental, data-driven counseling program that encourages students to become life-long learners, problem solvers, and productive citizens. We will collaborate with community members, parents, and staff to promote our program which focuses on academic, college and career readiness, and personal/social development in every student. HHS school counselors stive to empower all students to reach their highest potential by fostering a positive, supportive, and culturally sensitive program while ensuring a safe, healthy, and nurturing environment. HHS school counselors will adhere to the ASCA Ethical Standards in order to maintain integrity and leadership.

Major Clarity is a college and career platform that all Desoto County Students can access beginning in middle school until after graduation. It provides interest inventories, college and career information, along with goal setting opportunities. Major Clarity can be accessed through students' Clever account.
