About the Teacher

Welcome to my page!! My name is Sara Michael and I am a Special Education Inclusion Teacher for our school.

I'm originally from the Mississippi Delta. My husband, John, and I lived in Ocean Springs right after we got married, but soon realized that we wanted to be closer to home. We love the Delta and wanted to be close enough to visit frequently, so we decided on Hernando!! We love everything about Hernando, and are so blessed to be raising our 2 beautiful girls in such a wonderful little town.

I graduated from Delta State University in 2001. I am highly qualified to teach Special Education Mild/Moderate Disabilities K-12 and Elementary SPED K-6.

My first years of teaching were in the Mississippi Delta. I taught 5 years in Greenville, Ms. I spent 4 years in Biloxi at Northbay Elementary. We moved to Hernando in 2011 and taught at Oak Grove Central Elementary as the 4th grade inclusion teacher and MET SPED Chairperson for 12 years. This will be my first year at Hernando High School
