Hernando Bands - BOA Indianapolis Super Regional Class 2AA Champions

The Hernando Tiger Marching Band has had a great season this year! "Congratulations to our band family on a historic season for our program. I couldn’t be more proud of the kids." - Mr. Killough

The Hernando Bands started the season by winning the Grand Championship at the Olive Branch Conquistador Classic Competition. Two weeks later HB would then go on to Grenada for their State Evaluations (all Superiors which allows them to go to the MS State Championships). Later on the same day the Hernando Bands would take 2nd in their Class AA and 5th overall at the Bands of America - Memphis Regional Championships. They would spend another weekend competing against 92 bands from across the nation in the Bands of America - Indianapolis Super Regional Championship competition. This was their first competition in Indianapolis, however, this is not their first competition at a BOA Super Regional Championship. They have competed in the BOA -St. Louis Super Regional Championships and were able to compete in the finals (2023).

The Hernando Bands had now set their sights on other BOA Super Regional competitions this year. This time they went to Indianapolis. They performed "Flipped" and came out strong. Winning their class 2AA and 17th overall. This was the first time our Hernando Bands would win a Class Championship at a BOA Super Regional Championship competition.

This past weekend the Hernando Bands competed in the MHSAA State Marching Bands Championship in Northwest Rankin and won the silver medal. Congratulations!
