“Baby Week” in Ms. Dunavent’s Child Development Course
Ms. Dunavent teaches the CTCE Child Development course here at Hernando High School. The Child Development course is designed to familiarize students with the various stages of child development as well as the factors that may prevent the healthy development of a child. This course explores the development, health, nutrition, and safety of children at various stages.
This week is "Baby Week" and it went off with a bang! Thank you, Jennifer Jacks Rowland, for coming Tuesday and showing my students what to do! "They were so quiet throughout the day. I know they were listening and taking it all in from feeding to burping to changing and swaddling!"
Ms. Dunavent’s students also received hands-on training on CPR, Heimlich, and infant/toddler first aid. Kelly Scallions Blend spent the day showing the students how to save lives from young to old! "Thanks so much for giving us your time, Ms. Kelly. Again, the students were so quiet that I know they were listening and absorbing it all."
